Really bad room dirty, smelly, and dusty not value for money
We ignored the really bad reviews thinking it couldn't be that bad....stupid us because it sure was! I don't even know how this place is still functioning and hasn't been shut down by health inspectors or anyone along those lines! I've travelled all over the world and stayed in some dingey places, but I never expectedthat the worst one be in an Australian city!I booked this motel because of its location and the fact that it could sleep 5 male adults (for a bucks night) all in single beds, but they are the only positives. The carpet was all torn up and the place was just filthy. The couch cover thing was dirty and clearly hadn't been cleaned. The sink had dirt and hair left in it and the toilet was filthy, it was like the place hadn't been cleaned at all! Every surface needed a wipe over before we could even touch it. The bedding also didn't look like it had been washed. The air con was terrible and the blinds were half missing (in fact one room had about 4 vertical blinds for a 3m long window!) so all of us were awake at the crack of dawn.Not to mention that the staff were really unhelpful. The guy who checked us in tried to make me pay again, after I'd already paid through wotif, and he just couldn't hurry me up enough so that he could go back to smoking weed. The reception and restaurant smelt strong weed. Then the guy at check out was so incredibly lazy and again couldn't wait to see the back of us. AWFUL customer service!To sum it up: BEYOND TERRIBLE!!!! Seriously, spend a little more money and stay elsewhere because this place isn't worth a $5 a night price tag!!!! None of us would ever consider staying here again!!!
